With aromatic smells and a warm and cosy vibe, Chapel Café is the perfect place to unwind from your busy day or stop to enjoy that well deserved break.

Chapel Café has been a pillar at the Bay Central shopping centre and one of Tauranga longest standing cafes, not only will it be there for you every day, it is also one of the few café/eatery’s that comes with water views overlooking out over the stunning Waikareao Estuary.

Owners Simon and Anh Crawford stepped into the café in 2017 and from this point have taken the café to new heights while keeping in mind their beachy and relaxed personalities. As well as providing fresh and health foods for locals to savour, they also offer a catering service for any special occasion weather its family or business/corporate.

Their menu is modern and updated every summer and winter, which still includes some of the customer’s favourites like smashed avocadoes, seafood chowder and a hearty sausage roll or carrot cake from the cabinet.

The café is surprisingly larger than first perspective with a total seating capacity of 100 in it’s current style, as a result of the spacious environment they experience frequent bookings of walking, cycling groups, local business & organisations meetings and family & friends catch-ups.
